Re-opened Atlanta's official inactive list at Green Bay (team site, Sep 24, 2026, 6:43 p.m. ET) and the Packers' posting of both lists (Sep 24, 5:45 p.m. CT): six Falcons are inactive (Rush, Strand, DeWalt, Longerbeam, Ebukam, Onianwa) and no running back is among them, so Bijan Robinson and Brian Robinson Jr. are both active tonight. Wednesday's final report (Sep 23, 3:52 p.m. ET, a walkthrough-only estimate) listed Brian Robinson (ankle) as a full participant with no designation and did not list Bijan. With Trey Sermon on injured reserve and Khalil Herbert and Cash Jones on the practice squad, Robinson is the only other back on the 53 and would inherit early-down and short-yardage work by default. He is usually available on the wire. Projected role, not a reported split: Atlanta would more likely spread passing downs than give him a three-down load.

Backfield news: Final pregame check: no Falcons running back appears on the Week 3 inactive list posted Sep 24, so Bijan Robinson plays. Brian Robinson Jr. was a full participant on Wednesday's walkthrough-estimate report with an ankle note and no designation. Trey Sermon remains on injured reserve, signed Aug. 10 and placed on IR Aug. 19 with no disclosed injury and no return timetable; Khalil Herbert (signed to the practice squad Sep. 16) and Cash Jones are the emergency options off the 53. Brian Robinson is the standing handcuff to own here for as long as he is the lone backup on the active roster.

Scouting: Atlanta's RB2 on the Week 3 depth chart and the power/short-yardage complement to Bijan Robinson. Would head an early-down committee if Bijan missed time, though Atlanta would likely spread passing-down work. Currently managing an ankle injury — limited Sept. 21, Thursday status unresolved.

Starter injury history: 2023-2025: played all 17 games each season; 2025 league-high 2,298 scrimmage yards on 366 touches. No significant injury absence in three years; small bump only for back-to-back 300-plus-touch workloads. 2026: not listed on Atlanta's Week 3 estimated injury report (Sept. 21) and still RB1 on the Week 3 depth chart.

Acquired from Pittsburgh for a 2028 sixth-rounder at cutdowns after a 2.5-yards-per-carry rookie year. Played zero offensive snaps in Week 1 despite the coaching staff suggesting all three backs would be involved, leaving him without a defined role and third in a three-man room.

Injury history: No significant reported injury absences. His lack of usage in 2025 and in Week 1 of 2026 reflects role and performance, not health.

Re-opened Green Bay's official inactive list (packers.com, Sep 24, 2026, 5:45 p.m. CT): Reed, Bako-Bewele, Banks, Brinson and Campbell are out and no running back is listed, matching the final Week 3 injury report (Sep 23, 3:00 p.m. CT), which carried no back. Lloyd, Brooks and Johnson are all active, so this is a role call, not a health call. Per FantasyPros (Sep 24, 1:35 p.m. ET), in Week 2 Lloyd played 28% of snaps with a 33.3% rush-attempt share, Johnson out-carried him at 44.4% (8 carries, 32 yards), and Brooks led the room at 44% of snaps with a 34.4% route share. I take the listed RB2: Brooks has led Packers backs in snaps both weeks and owns passing downs and protection, while Johnson played zero offensive snaps in Week 1. The committee is unresolved and Johnson could keep early-down carries, hence low confidence. Brooks is usually available; Johnson is free almost everywhere.

Backfield news: No Packers back is on the Week 3 inactive list, so the full committee is available behind MarShawn Lloyd. Chris Brooks has led the backfield in snap share in both games and handles routes and protection; Kaleb Johnson has the larger early-down carry share but was a Week 1 healthy scratch on offense. Josh Jacobs is still unavailable on the Commissioner's Exempt List (reported Aug. 30, a non-injury absence) and cannot practice or play; GM Brian Gutekunst said in early September he is hopeful Jacobs returns this season, but no return timetable has been announced. Jacobs remains the better long-term asset to hold where roster space allows; Brooks is the pickup for this game.

Scouting: Green Bay's third-down back, and he led all Packers RBs with 37 offensive snaps in the Week 1 loss to Minnesota - more than starter MarShawn Lloyd's 30. A replacement-level runner, but he owns passing downs and is the most likely short-term beneficiary if Lloyd's injury history resurfaces.

Starter injury history: 2024: six carries as a rookie; ankle sprain cost six games, plus an appendectomy - four IR stints in two years. 2025: missed the entire season, IR with a hamstring on Aug. 26, activated Dec. 17, back on IR Dec. 19 with a second hamstring. 2026: healthy through camp and played Week 1. Gutekunst (Sep. 2): expecting him never to get dinged up would be 'naive'.
