New England listed Rhamondre Stevenson (knee) as questionable on Friday Oct 9 after a limited practice, and he told reporters he plans to play. The team's own analysis says that if Stevenson cannot handle a full workload the Patriots will lean heavily on Henderson, with Corey Kiner also in the mix. Henderson out-carried Stevenson 14-13 in the Week 4 win over Buffalo and led New England in scrimmage yards and touchdowns as a rookie, so he is both the handcuff and a standalone starter. He is widely rostered and already gone in many leagues; the lower-rostered fallback in this room is Kiner, but his path is far thinner, needing Stevenson ruled out entirely and still splitting work behind Henderson. FB Reggie Gilliam was among six players ruled out.
